Stars like the sun: Red Giant to White Dwarf

Picture
Red Giant to White Dwarf
-After being in main sequence, stars available hydrogen will turn into helium by nuclear fusion
-with not a lot of hydrogen to burn, the outward flow of energy slows and the core begins to contract, this heats up remaining hydrogen enough for fusion to resort in outer layer
-when the core of a star gets hotter outer layer of the star expands then cools becoming a Red Giant
-When a red giant ages it consumes the remaining supply of hydrogen and the core contracts each other, temperature and pressure in core undergoes fusion making it fully formed
-as it expands it sends gas and dust into space and loses mass
-when nuclear fusion stops stars that are smaller of equal to the mass of the sun die
-then the stars core begins to collapse due to its own gravity and the outer layer drift away, and only the hot core remains
-The matter that remains is called a white dwarf
-White Dwarfs emit ultraviolet light that last stages of its life as a red giant
-white dwarfs will continue to radiate energy becoming cooler and dimmer till its light goes out
